Registered keeper
The registered keeper is the person in whose name a vehicle is registered for road use. Registration does not prove who drove during a particular event.
Section 103 KFG assigns vehicle-related information and care duties to the keeper. The register entry is the starting point for a driver disclosure request.
A typical context is an inquiry concerning a vehicle identified by its registration number. Keeper status, ownership and the actual driver may differ.
