Driving entitlement

A driving entitlement is the authority-granted right to drive vehicles of a specified class. It is distinct from the physical driving licence used as evidence.

In brief

Its scope follows from the vehicle class, time limits, conditions and binding decisions. The document proves the entitlement but does not itself create it.

A typical context is whether the entitlement still exists, is restricted or must be granted again after withdrawal. The register and individual decision are decisive.
