Demerit entry
A demerit entry is a driving licence register record for an offence covered by section 30a FSG. It does not automatically withdraw the driving entitlement.
Consequences depend on the final offence recorded and further demerit offences within the statutory observation period. The date, offence type and register status matter.
A typical context is an authority notice or the distinction between an entry, a special measure and withdrawal. An entry is not a withdrawal decision.
