A driving licence may be replaced after loss, invalidity or a change in entries. The reason, application and status of the old document must be reviewed separately.
Section 15 FSG governs the replacement process. Keep evidence, acknowledgement, delivery and the status of the old card together.

For loss, the disappearance must be made credible; for an invalid document, the actual reason must be reviewed.
A new card is not a new driving entitlement.

A new licence can generally be requested from a driving licence authority in Austria.
Keep the application, acknowledgement and file number. An appointment does not prove receipt.
